City Network – a leading provider of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) based on OpenStack, today announced that its founder and CEO, Johan Christenson has been elected member of the board at the OpenStack Foundation. The OpenStack Foundation promotes the global development, distribution and adoption of the OpenStack cloud operating system and serves more than 80,000 individual members from over 180 countries around the world. In this context, the OpenStack Foundation’s board of directors plays an important role in providing strategic and financial oversight of the foundations resources.

City Network is the organisation behind OpenStack Days Nordic, an event that this year will take place for the second consecutive year, this time in Copenhagen 18-19th of October. Further to this City Network leads the public cloud group within OpenStack. With over 20 years of experience, Johan is a long-term tech entrepreneur. He holds a Master of Science in engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology.
