City Network, a leading global supplier of cloud services based on OpenStack, is today announcing that the insurtech company Hiotlabs has selected Compliant Cloud to serve as the foundation for its innovation and international expansion. Hiotlabs has developed a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution that enables insurance companies to reduce water damage costs while increasing customer engagement. The company’s SaaS, Fairtrail, consists of sensors and a software platform to proactively detect and prevent water damage in buildings.
In August 2020, Hiotlabs became part of Polygon Group, the European market leader in prevention, control and mitigation of all forms of property damage. With the insurance industry in Europe as a key target market, Hiotlab’s end-to-end solution runs on City Networks’ IT infrastructure for heavily regulated organizations, Compliant Cloud. Using Compliant Cloud as the foundation for the insurtech application, customers can be confident knowing that the information in Fairtrail is protected, processed and stored according to the rules and regulations applied by European insurance companies.
“The insurance industry is all about trust. As such, a fundamental part of our business development involved identifying a cloud platform that complies with the industry’s strict rules and regulations, while also enabling us to innovate and scale our solution. I am happy to say that City Network’s cloud infrastructure has proven to be the right choice and has already played a vital role in securing a significant contract,” says Jonas Deibe, CEO and founder of Hiotlabs, a Polygon Group company.
Already available in Sweden, Hiotlabs is now looking to expand its footprint across Europe as an essential part of Polygon’s property damage restoration offering. Compliant Cloud will serve as the secure digital infrastructure platform in this expansion as Hiotlabs intends to leverage several City Network nodes across the continent.
“We are delighted to support such an innovative and relevant company as Hiotlabs in its expansion across Europe,” says Johan Christensen, CEO and founder of City Network. “It is encouraging to see how it has incorporated trust as a parameter in everything they do, from the value the company delivers to insurance companies and their customers, down to the digital infrastructure Hiotlabs leverages for its service.”
