Cyber threats are on the rise, as are the number of laws affecting our work. Meanwhile, concerns are growing about how to finance the welfare state, where an ever shrinking workforce is expected to provide for a growing number of older people. We all want simple solutions, but digital looks can be deceiving. We have seen multiple examples of public sector organisations making short-term decisions that have eroded taxpayer money, or disregarded the laws that protect our security and privacy. What are the pitfalls and how do we avoid them?
