The European cloud Cleura continues its growth in the expanding market for digital infrastructure. Following a strong result in 2022, the company presents a record result for 2023 with a turnover of SEK 160 million, an increase of 35% from the previous year. Profit before financial items for the period amounted to approximately SEK 18 million.

The growth for Cleura, which develops and delivers digital infrastructure as a service based on open source, is driven by organizations’ digitalization and their need to implement digital innovation without compromising security and risking European data laws.

“Our objective is that everyone should benefit from the opportunities of digitalization without the risk of personal data being misplaced or data laws being broken. The results for 2023 demonstrate that more and more organizations are choosing our European cloud services and thus a platform that promotes European independence and strengthens European competitiveness,” says Jim Johansson, CEO of Cleura.

The company, headquartered in Karlskrona in Sweden, delivers the cloud services Cleura Public Cloud, Cleura Compliant Cloud, and customized private clouds – always with complete compliance. The services are delivered from several cloud regions in Europe.

Cleura continuously develops its cloud services, and in 2024, the company will launch the next generation of its unique Compliant Cloud, a digital infrastructure service for organizations with exceptionally high demands on automation, availability, compliance, and security.

“The cloud is the default delivery model for modern digital innovation, and the growth is accelerating rapidly. We are constantly working to develop and improve our services to meet the demand. The launch of the next generation Compliant Cloud is another important step demonstrating that Cleura challenges the market as the obvious choice for European companies and organizations as they accelerate their digitalization with a cloud platform developed in Sweden,” says Jim Johansson.

In 2023, the company secured several significant contracts in industries with high security and integrity requirements, such as healthcare services, the defense sector, security, banking, and finance. Large companies transforming their businesses and new innovative SaaS and PaaS players are using Cleura’s cloud as a basis for their operations and continued innovation.

“Europe has declared objectives to strengthen its competitiveness, including increasing self-sufficiency in several critical areas, of which digitalization is one. This development is well in line with Cleura’s ambition and strategy to build the European cloud, and we see that Cleura is well positioned to contribute to a stronger Europe and a sustainable digitalization,” explains Jim Johansson.
